'Oxford Real Farming Conference 2022 discussion with Dee Woods; Dawn Dunlin; Kemi Atijosan; Emma Eberhardt. The UK needs a strong, inclusive food sovereignty movement now more than ever. The world is in the midst of a food systems crisis fuelled by the pandemic, climate change, corporate capture and neoliberal governance at international and other levels, and the legacies of empire and colonialism. Here in the UK this is further compounded by Brexit, and critical changes to legislation including the Agriculture Act, trade, environment bills, and the first attempt at national food policy since World War II. With a government white paper in response to the national food strategy expected in January, what will be our response as farmers, and food commoners This session follows the online People’s Food Summit held in June 2021 and a dialogue at COP26. It is a call to action to discuss and formulate strategies for food sovereignty, agroecology, human rights and justice in our food system. #ORFC22 https://orfc.org.uk/'
