'The depth drop is a great exercise for athletes to learn how to properly absorb force and land in optimal athletic positions. Once an athlete is sufficient at absorbing force in the depth drop, a depth drop jump or a depth drop sprint are two other great exercises we can use to teach an athlete how to rapidly produce force and use the stretch-shortening cycle in an efficient manner.'
