'The goal of any workout routine is to burn calories, lose weight, and build muscle. But add a trampoline into the mix, and you start hearing a word from people such as Grace Eichten that isn\'t normally associated with exercise: \"fun.\" \"It\'s kind of your inner child, the trampoline that we used to do back in elementary school,\" said Eichten, a Plymouth resident. \"Fun\" is the name of the game with this exercise class at Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park in Plymouth known as \"skyrobics.\" \"Skyrobics is a fantastic class,\" said Kristy Adams, the skyrobics instructor. \"It\'s a low impact and high calorie burning class. We implement cardio, interval training, plyometrics, as well as some resistance.\" According to Adams, it\'s an exercise that anyone can do -- regardless of age or fitness level. \"Our instructors are taught to teach classes to the individual and make it their own class, so we provide modifications so you don\'t have to be highly coordinated or any kind of an athlete to join us,\" Adams said. In an hour--long class, Adams says that people can burn up to a thousand calories as they bounce around on the trampolines. However, some admit that the workout definitely has its challenges. \"Well the first time I came, I probably fell down three or four times on the laps, tripping on the things in between,\" Eichten admitted. Instructors say it does take some getting used to, but after a few classes, people can become addicted. \"We take the boredom out of exercise with this workout,\" Adams said. Plus, many here say that bouncing around on the trampolines beats running on a treadmill. \"There\'s a little more, perhaps, risk,\" Eichten said of skyrobics. \"But for me, it\'s a lot more fun too.\" Sky Zone offers skyrobics fitness classes six days a week.
